After your treatment, you may notice some mild redness, discomfort and minor bruising at the site of injection, which is absolutely normal, and they depend on patient’s sensitivity. However, there are no known side effects of PRP, which is very safe as it is performed using your own blood. Most of our patients are able to return to normal activities 24 hours after the treatment. Application of skin repair/recovery creams immediately and for a couple of days after the therapy, seals and heals the skin and promotes healing and protection. The use of sunscreen protection is mandatory. Vigorous exercise, sauna and the use of makeup are not recommended after this therapy for 24 hours.

In order to obtain maximum results, PRP treatments should be repeated in a series of 3-4 sessions in total, with an interval of 4-6 weeks in between treatments. The protocol can then be repeated annually to maintain results.
